fast food rankings

 All food establishments are not made equal, some are very much not worth the money. And since it has been proven time and time again that I have amazing opinions I'll share some with you all today.

Going from bottom to top

Subway - Haven't had it in years so I have nothing to say.

Taco Bell - Also never had it but it seems to have a meat focus which does not appeal to me

KFC - KFC... oh how far you have fallen. As a child KFC could be considered one of the greats, the big three. But now... fries? TRASH, soggy and not flavourful. And just as a personal preference I do not eat meat unless it is chicken, deep-fried, white meat and has no bones. This is obviously because eating meat makes me sad and grosses me out because it is a corpse, but chicken nuggets and tenders look like not an animal and taste good. Which is why I looooooooove KFC popcorn chicken, but not really anything else from there.

Starbucks - I hate coffee and haven't tried their food.

Wendy's - I haven't had Wendy's much cause it's not in my home town but like... just mid af.

McDonalds - McDonalds is not as amazing as it was in my childhood but it hasn't fallen far. The fries are only ever worth it if they're crispy and piping hot. But other than, I obviously love their chicken nuggets, McCrispy, milkshakes (not chocolate), and of course, the apple pie. McDonalds has such a superb apple pie, not that I have tried many I have only tried two apple pies. But the serving size is PERFECT. The small size opposed to a full pie offers an ideal crust to filling ratio, because I loooove that flaky pie crust which accentuates the apples perfectly. Love.

Dominos - Dominos Dominos Dominos. I would say a big reason I ballooned up in weight over the 2024-2025 big christmas holiday. What do I think was the culprit? Massive hot sprinkled donut. I... I loved that donut. And it was so so greasy. But that's not all folks. They also have popcorn chicken, which I would get in the 50pcs size, of course. These two factors, on top of a whole pizza, is naturally the cause of such astronomical weight gain. Never again I fear, except for a special occasion. To actually talk about the pizza, it's kinda just meh, the pizza is fine and the crust is even more meh, not really worth eating.

Burger Kiiiiing - Burger King used to really not be a favourite. Fries trash, chicken not that good. But that was before the fries rebrand. Yes my friends, the fries have been overhauled and they bomb af, they litty, they fire, they flames. Fries that are ACTUALLY worth eating. And that's not even the best part. The BK chicken... phenomenal chicken burger. The sauce is delicious and I devour the whole thing in seconds like yummy yummy yummers omg. Chicken fries, a timeless classic, loved them when I disliked Burger King and love them now. They've also had some pretty good limited items, like corn bites I think, maaaaybe jalapeno bites? (LOVE jalapeno cheese bites) and love Burger King :D

Pizza Hut - Nobody outpizzas the hut, not that it has much competition as the only other universal pizza chain across NZ is Dominos, yes there is like Hells Pizza but that is not everywhere, not in my home town, and does Hells Pizza really outpizza the hut? Pizza hut has amazing cheese pizza we all know that, but what I REALLY love is the cheesy garlic tear n share. That... that masterpiece of dining. The end slices aren't good cause they kinda have no cheese on them but all the slices between are amazing, just like an actual loaf of bread. Pizza Hut is a very safe choice, #yum.

Krispy Kreme - Have not had this much. In fact I have only had one item. The original glazed donut. First had this from an airport in 2025 and it was DELISH, I had like four. I love love love love donuts. Hot cinnamon donuts, strawberry donut, glazed donut. NOT chocolate donuts #fuckyouthatonedonutplaceatchartwellfornothavingnonchocolatedonutswhenimthere #krispykremecouldnever #wasitcrispy?

Popeyes - First had this THIS YEAR (this year mention) and my cousin had said people she knows do not recommend it. And they were WRONG. Top tier fries in the fast food game batting against Burger King. Where Burger King has the top tier crisp, Popeyes has the cajun seasoning on lock. Biscuits aka scones. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. Love I love love love those dry warm scones SO MUCH. The Chicken burgers also yum, and the mac n cheese. I'm sure I have tried mac n cheese before Popeyes but I don't remember it, but Popeyes mac n cheese? #cuisine. Every week for the airing of the final season of The Boys I ordered food to make it all more special and I chose Popeyes multiple times.
